  • People allowed access to lakes in the Cariboo Fire Centre

    Due to the evacuation order being lifted yesterday for a large portion of 100 Mile House, the BC Wildfire Service has rescinded the area restriction order to Watson Lake, Lac La Hache, Williams Lake and Horse Lake. This rescindment is effective immediately.

    The Province of British Columbia, today, formally extended the provincial state of emergency through the end of day August 4, 2017. Premier John Horgan announced on July 19, 2017 that the state of emergency was being extended.

  • People must stay off four lakes in Cariboo Fire Centre

    The BC Wildfire Service is reminding everyone that public access to Williams Lake, Watson Lake, Lac La Hache and Horse Lake has been restricted since July 14, 2017. This area restriction order was necessary to keep people off these lakes and assist with wildfire suppression efforts.
