“Tomorrow, we join the rest of the world in remembering the six million Jewish people who were killed during the Holocaust. We also remember the millions of other women, children and men who were killed during this time because of their ethnicity, religious beliefs or sexual orientation.
“The Holocaust is a dark time in our history. We must continue to stay vigilant and work together to ensure atrocities like this are not repeated. Anti-Semitism and hate have no place in British Columbia or anywhere else in the world.
“On International Holocaust Remembrance Day we pay respect to those who were lost and we stand with those survivors still with us today.”
